Cote de Granite Rose
Coming down the road from Trebeurden city centre in the direction to Plenvern.
Trebeurden itself is the gateway to the Cote de Granite Rose, which is on of the most lovely parts of the French Atlantic coast. The granite coast goes from Trebeurden to Paimpol.

The Lighthouse of Ploumanac'h at Pnte de Squéouel
This lighthouse is one of the main attractions of Cote de Granite Rose. A very prominent building sitting on top of the cliffs it is a main focus for tourists and photographers alike. The lighthouse itself cannot be visited and works fully automatic. The only thing you can do is go round and enjoy the view or do this and capture the moments with your camera.
The tow next to the lighthouse is Ploumanac'h. You can go there on foot using a footpath called sentiers des douane, which leds you along the coast line between Ploumanac'h and Perros Guirec.
It is good to know that there is a car park directly beneath the lighthouse where you can park you car and join the path directly at the lighthouse. There is also a station of the French Sea Rescue there.
Le Menhir De Saint Uzec
Menhirs are part of Brittany and can be found nearly everywhere. At times you can find these things somewhere in the middle of a field, at times there are complete assemblies, similar to Stonehenge in England. This Menhir is situated near the village of Penvern, it is signposted and easy to be found.
There is a stonewall around the Menhir and a plague is mounted on the side giving explanation about the site and its history in French, English and German.
The site is accessible on foot or by car, a car park (for a few cars) is available on the side.
The big Menhir sites are in Finistere and in the South of Brittany, though, when you are around at Cote de Granite Rose this is a recommendation to visit that site.
Below you can the site in full size.
